With spacious accommodation and stunning views, surrounded by trees and flower filled alpine meadows, it is an ideal and very well equipped summer base to explore this lovely area from a tranquil setting. Sentier passes right by the doorstep for walkers, lift access at St Martin to great VTT and Enduro, whilst families can enjoy the Forest Adventure Park, Alpine Farm and summer toboggan. Valley has over 50 lakes for great fishing.
Maison du Viognier has been created out of a sensitive restoration of an ancient grange. It retains the original huge beams and wide smooth floorboards underfoot in a huge open upper level incorporating separate lounge,dining and kitchen areas, and all with stunning views down the Belleville valley and over to the white mountain peaks above St Martin de Belleville. Original features have been enhanced with modern touches. Roof beams are picked out with uplighters which makes the lounge into a magical space at night.During the day the huge triangular windows with their enormous beams frame the gorgeous colours of the trees outside. It is a ever changing vista with fresh spring greens and the snow sitting high up on the mountains in spring, through to a tapestry of reds and golds as autumn sets in.

Good selection of children's plates and cutlery. Breakfast bar and bar stools for conversations whilst meals are prepared.
Spacious balcony separated from lounge via large sliding glass doors with seating and table and again the stunning views out over the valley. A favourite spot to sit with a glass of wine and watch the sun setting behind the peaks up at St Martin - usually still covered in snow in June - simply gorgeous.

The chalet is located in the small friendly hamlet of Le Villard above St Jean de Belleville and enjoys stunning views of the mountains and gorgeous Belleville valley. Situated so high, it is frequently above the rainbows and you can watch birds even from the lounge. The chalet is located right on one of the many local walks or "sentiers". Graded for ability in the same way as the ski pistes, it is a lovely "blue" walk, which links within a few 100m to "red" and "blue" choices and is very close to the Tour de Tarentaise long distance walk. Hypermarkets and shops are easily accessible in Moutiers, just 15km away in the valley, whilst St Martin de Belleville is just 12km with direct lift access to the Three Valleys with fabulous VTT and Enduro trails or simply a chance to sit with the children as we did and watch the marmots playing around a tumbledown stone ruin.
