Mountain and Tradition is a small independent chalet company run in resort by owners Jana and Raphael. In addition to our four catered chalets, we also run a chalet meal delivery service called Chalet Kitchen, bringing our chalet food to people who have rented their own self-catered accommodation.

Based in our flagship luxury chalet in the centre of Les Gets, you will be responsible for ensuring a first-class guest experience. In a varied and flexible role, you will be working partly in our flagship luxury chalet, and partly in our nearby kitchens. In addition to your duties in the kitchen, you will be responsible for ensuring a first-class guest experience. This the top-rated Les Gets chalet on TripAdvisor, and you will be tasked with keeping it that way.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Looking after guests throughout their stay
  • Cooking breakfast and afternoon tea every day
  • Cleaning the chalet on change over days
  • Assisting the chef in the preparation of meals (peeling, cutting and basic cooking)
  • Supporting kitchen staff in a variety of roles, including food preparation and cleaning

All meals are currently delivered from two central kitchens, one in the Portes Du Soleil and one in the Three Valleys. About the Job:

  • Working in our Les Gets kitchens, you will be producing the food for all our chalets, plus our food delivery service for up to 400 guests per day.

Driver / Cleaner - Les Gets - Ski Season 2017-18.

Seeking Chalet Hosts - Morzine
2 Positions

Host Savoie is seeking highly-motivated and dedicated people to fill a variety of chalet roles this coming winter season in Morzine (French Alps). We are a small and friendly chalet operator that is still run by its owners, and nothing but extra-mile service is good enough for our loyal guests. There are few better places to spend a winter season than the fabulous Portes du Soleil and by working as part of a small team of 11 your efforts will be both recognised and rewarded. Exceptional candidates with a ‘work hard play hard’ attitude will spend 5 months creating a lifetime of memories.

What We Are Looking For

There are two Chalet Host positions available, based in different chalets. The first is for Chalet Chery, sleeping a maximum of 16 but averaging 10 during the season. This Chalet Host will be working alongside a full time Chalet Assistant. The second Host is for Chez Claude, sleeping a maximum of 13 but averaging 7-8 people during the season. This Chalet Host will be working with the help of Chalet Assistant or a Resort Support team member on changeover days and for larger groups.

You will be responsible for a chalet and for the preparation and service of breakfast and evening meals 6 days a week. You will be required to shop to a budget, cook delicious hearty meals with fresh local produce, keep your chalet spotlessly clean and comply with local hygiene laws.

The following characteristics are vital for the position of Chalet Host:

  • You need to be a competent and experienced cook with experience in a commercial catering environment. However, formal cookery qualifications are not essential.
  • A keen eye for detail and pride in a job well done.
  • An ability to work well alone or with others, communicating effectively with colleagues.
  • A determination to prioritise customer service with a smile ahead of your own free time.

Successful applicants will need to be available for the entire season (December to April) and eligible to work in France under a UK contract. You will need a UK bank account and a National Insurance number.

DRIVER WITH OWN VAN FOR DELIVERIES - Tignes - Ski Season 2017-18

All employees at Tignes Spirit are highly motivated individuals with a positive, 'can-do' attitude and an extensive knowledge of skiing and/or snowboarding in the Espace Killy area. They are willing to learn and actively seek out extensive technical information on all of our products.

Requirements

  • Reporting to the Shop Manager, this role is responsible for the prompt delivery of rented equipment and correct collection of said equipment at the end of the client's stay.
  • Good time management, enthusiasm, flexibility, attention to detail, and great communication skills are key to the role.
  • Previous ski/snowboard rental or retail experience is desirable.
  • Previous winter driving experience is desirable.
  • All positions are full time and will require weekend and late night hours

Tignes Spirit is a young and dynamic company which prides itself on high quality service. We deliver ski and snowboard equipment to chalets and apartments in all areas of the Espace Killy region (Tignes and Val d'Isere) and kit out many of our clients in our own, independent shop, located in Tignes le Lavachet.

Our workshop in Tignes le Lavachet services all used equipment weekly, and is proud to extend this service to all visitors to Tignes. Our 'repair and servicing' operation has an extremely high reputation in the area for repairing damage previously thought of as 'unfixable'.

The Tignes Spirit shop is open daily throughout the winter season for rental and purchases of clothing and ski/snowboard equipment. A skeleton team is rotated to run the shop and workshop during the week. The entire Tignes Spirit staff are required at the weekend, which is our busiest time. Collections of all ski and snowboard equipment are made from Friday afternoon and continue throughout the weekend. The workshop staff service and repair all equipment in preparation for re-rental. Saturday and Sundays require all shop staff and drivers to be prepared for long hours, especially in busy holiday times.
