Organise your Airport Transfers, Ski Extras & In-Resort Services

Book your Flights

The nearest and most convenient airport is Geneva, just over an hour from Morzine resort. The main provider of budget flights from the UK is EasyJet, but British Airways also offer regular flights from London Heathrow, along with one or two others.

It is also possible to drive to Morzine. The village is about 9 hours' drive from Calais and, if chosen carefully, the route will be all motorways until the final 30 minutes or so.

The final option is to travel by train. The best option is to get the Eurostar to Paris, then the TGV to Geneva (at lightning speed!). After a 15-minute train ride to the airport, you can take a transfer bus from Geneva Airport to Morzine. See below for details of transfer companies.

Order your Liftpass

Liftpasses are available from the main liftpass office in Morzine village centre, and at most of the major chairlifts throughout the ski area. In some cases, your chalet company might arrange this for you so you don't have to go and collect it (this service is usually free of charge, too).

Liftpass prices vary according to the time of the season, the age of the skier, the time-duration of the liftpass (in days), and the resorts included. Click to find out more about Morzine liftpass prices.

Plan your Time in Resort: Eating, Drinking, Relaxing & Family Time

There is so much to enjoy in Morzine besides the skiing and snowboarding. Once you're in resort, you'll want to know where to eat lunch, where to go for a drink, and what to do as a group or family when you're not skiing.

Enjoy the Morzine Skiing

In the final days before your departure, you'll be checking the snow forecast and looking at the Morzine webcams, hoping for the best possible snow conditions. If you've not been to Morzine before, you're in for a treat.

It's part of the biggest ski area in Europe - 650kms of pistes in two countries. It's ideal for all experience levels - local slopes are gentle and wide for beginners and families; just an extra chairlift away lie plenty of challenges for even the most advanced skiers. It's perfect for families, with a section of the mountain set aside for children only. It's a dream for photographers - a picture-postcard resort, full of unspoilt Savoyarde charm.

About Morzine Resort

Morzine is a large ski resort that still retains it's savoyard charms. Located just over an hour from Geneva, and with the whole of the Portes du Soleil ski area on your doorstep, Morzine is a hugely popular ski resort for all levels of skier.

The village itself is one of the larger ski resorts in France and really covers all bases very well. There's good facilities for families and a friendly atmosphere throughout. Thankfully it missed that tower block phase which hit many french ski resorts, and retains much of it's traditional charms from before the days of skiing. It's a very large village so do watch out if your accommodation is on the extremities then it can be a good distance in to the centre and ski lifts. That said there's a good network of free ski buses and many accommodation providers also provide transport.

About Morzine Skiing

Morzine is part of the Portes du Soleil ski area, which at 650kms of pistes is europe's largest. It's connected to Les Gets, Avoriaz, Chatel, St Jean d'Aulps, La Chapelle d'Abondance, Morgins, Torgins, Champoussins, Champery & Les Crozets. You can ski across into Switzerland and back all in the one day. With this scale on your door there is plenty for all levels and all styles of skier & snowboarder.

When heading to the lifts in Morzine you have two choices. On one side is the Les Gets and Morzine ski area (120kms of pistes)- a great area for beginners & intermediates, along with some great off piste areas too.

The other side of the valley takes you up to Avoriaz for some high altitude skiing, and then connecting into the rest of the Portes du Soleil (all 650kms of pistes!)

For higher intermediates and advanced skiers & snowboarders then the full area lift pass opens up a whole world of skiing and we'd definitely recommend it. For the cruising intermediate then you can ski village to village on what feels like an infinite collection of blue and red pistes, having lunch in a different resort each day. For the advanced then there's no shortage - from off piste descents to the infamous "Swiss Wall" (reputed to be one of Europe's hardest mogul runs), you'll find more than can be touched in even a whole week of first ski lifts until last.
